Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES


DAILY/WEEKLY FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION

− Reconciling all bank accounts
− Reconciling and posting petty cash account
− Posting invoices
− Processing weekly supplier payments
− Processing weekly and monthly payroll
− Reconciling and making monthly PAYE/NIC payments to HMRC
− Processing Payroll, year end and filing P11D's with HMRC
− Filing and admin

MONTHLY/QUARTERLY FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION

− Monthly management accounts
− Bi-monthly meeting with MD tracking actuals against budget
− Updating monthly event analysis spreadsheet on a regular basis - past, current and future events
− Compiling team notes for monthly finance meeting on how company and events have performed against target and where we are for the month as a whole
− Quarterly VAT returns
− Compiling information for year end stat accounts - liaise with external accountants to produce the final documents - calculate for R&D Tax credits
− Bar tabs - monthly review of spend against target
− Updating VUP accounts on a bi-monthly basis, which includes:
− Monthly inter-company journal
− Reconciling all bank accounts
− Ensuring all customer accounts are up to date and chasing for
paid bills
− Raising invoice from VUL to VUP for rental income - every 6 months
− Collate information for annual stat accounts
− Compile annual stat accounts - review and discuss with MD and Company Director
− Checking how the company is tracking re: HMRC VAT registration


ANNUAL FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION
− Annual budget setting, with MD and Company Director
− 6 month review calculation and documents


SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

− Proficient in Excel
− Excellent attention to detail
− Experience of using Xero accounting software for both accounting and payroll
− Ability to work well in a small team and manage own time well
− Experience working within the arts sector would be advantageous
− Ability to be flexible enough to assess and take opportunities on an ad hoc basis
