Job Description

Fantastic opportunity to join this leading Dutch SVOD service. You will be responsible for driving demand generation and retention programmes to maximise commercial success. Additionally you will exploit all possible co-marketing opportunities with distributors and content providers. This role is based in Amsterdam.

Key areas of focus

  • Be the subscriber's voice within the service, making sure that they always act 'subscriber first' and put their interests first
  • Define and manage the marketing strategy to meet all commercial goals including subscriber growth, retention programmes and brand building activities
  • Build and nurture relationships with all of key client accounts (principally Ziggo and KPN).
  • Be a supportive and creative partner to their marketing teams to maximise co-marketing opportunities for the service against commercial goals
  • Full budget management for all marketing activities
  • Responsible for maximising return on investment (ROI) across all activities, producing written reports on effectiveness and the lessons to be taken forward to future activities
  • Manage and develop the marketing team to ensure that all key skills are available 'in house' wherever possible.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Strategic thinker
  • Excellent, demonstrable negotiation skills
  • Knowledgeable and ideally proven experience in the Benelux entertainment marketplace
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about digital marketing - an expert, an enthusiast and an advocate
  • Understanding of using creativity to drive commercial results
  • Deep knowledge of consumer trends and research methodologies
  • Demonstrable ability to manage and build a consumer facing brand
  • Media knowledge across paid, owned and earned channels
  • Used to developing and maintaining high level partner relationships
  • Strong communicator
  • Familiar with marketing measurement techniques and approaches
  • Team builder
  • Ability to work fast and effectively in a complex, matrix organisation


  • Relevant experience in marketing and sales, ideally in the entertainment sector
  • Digital qualifications ideal (eg Google Squared or similar)
  • Interested in TV and movies and why people watch
  • Ideally fluent in Dutch and English
