The Role: 6 month Temp contract - £25k pro rata

Working alongside the Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive will support in the execution of all Marketing and Communications messaging, against a comprehensive marketing timeline. This will include working across the full mix of marketing channels, including Email, Social, Online, Digital and Print across the Exhibition, Content, Awards and Digital portfolio.


This is very much an execution, hands-on, marketing role where each day may be different. Therefore, the right person needs to be flexible and possess the ability to quickly change mindset from one task to another while keeping the messaging consistent. You will be pro-active and self-motivated with a can-do attitude and the ability to multi-task and manage your time effectively. You will be expected to support the Marketing Manager and the Senior Marketing Manager whilst they manage the execution of the marketing plan to deliver results against targets to successfully deliver the show in December 2021.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager in delivering the Marketing Visitor Acquisition Campaign and Exhibitor Promotion Campaign, across Email, Organic and Paid Social and the IBC Digital Platform
  • Website Content Management - Updating the website, ensuring the content is kept-up-to-date and relevant
  • Email Marketing - Using the Marketing platform - Dot Digital to create, build and execute Email comms, segmenting the data to ensure the correct audience is being targeted
  • Work with outsourced PR Agency, Data and Digital Specialist and Design Agency where required
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders across the business accordingly
  • Quality checking all marketing collateral as needed
  • Social Media Management - Creation of social media content and community management across all IBC Social Media Channels
  • Manage the Marketing inbox and respond to Marketing requests coming through from internal stakeholders
  • Copywriting - Researching and creating content as and when required

Skills and experience:

  • Proficient in the use of Email Marketing and campaign optimisation using the platform - Dot Digital
  • Proficient in the management of Social Media Channels and of community management
  • PPC experience
  • CMS - For web updates on the ASP Platform
  • Experience with the Virtual Event Platform - Expo Platform, is desirable
  • Formal business/marketing higher education qualification
  • Experience of hitting digital channel KPIs
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly, effectively, and persuasively
  • Experience of database development and growth including segmentation and personalization
  • Data Management, targeting and segmentation
  • Online and Digital Marketing
