Job Description

I am actively seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to work on a leading portfolio of specialist travel exhibitions. My client are a leading name in media and events based in the heart of Central London.

his portfolio is one of the most established and successful within the company. With a global reach this is a great opportunity to join an already brilliant team.


The responsibility of the marketing manager include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage audiences for their defined live events, driving events attendance in accordance with budget targets and agreed KPI's
  • Plans marketing activity and fulfils all marketing campaigns to deadlines and within budget
  • Manage marketing budgets for your brands, ensuring forecasts are regularly updated, correctly allocated and not overspent, and plans for contingencies and budget changes, escalating issues where appropriate
  • Operating as the brand manager; issuing brand guidelines which are in line with expectations, and applies them in all marketing communications
  • Develop and maintains all relevant collateral and brand communication programmes to support marketing campaigns and produce compelling and creative copy
  • Assesses, monitors and improves marketing efficiency by conducting regular analysis of marketing KPI's, reporting on campaign results to elevate success
  • Managing direct reports:

-Assisting in their growth and development

-Monitoring their activity

-Delegating projects


  • Develops a deep understanding of the audiences and markets in which their brands compete, identifying key competitors and monitoring audience and marketing activity
  • Supports product development by identifying opportunities for growth and identifying other initiatives to strengthen and improve the competitive position of their brands
  • Manages the marketing of new and existing brand extensions, including webinars, reader surveys, online directories, roundtables, bespoke events, etc
  • Develops strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure marketing activity is fully aligned with business needs
  • Implements and improves, when appropriate, core operational marketing processes to ensure consistency
  • Effectively manages, motivates, trains and appraises team members; delegating projects as appropriate and ensuring on time and on budget delivery


The ideal candidate:

  • Will come from an exhibition/events manager
  • Will have previously managed a junior team (desirable)
  • Ability to create and execute annual marketing plan
  • Manage budget creation, forecasts and spend
  • Experience of producing high quality and measurable content marketing that both reflects the brand and deliver effective results
  • Strong analytical marketing skills
  • Good copywriting skills for visitor and exhibitor promotion
  • Results driven
  • Systematic and thorough
  • Ability to manage and motivate the team

Salary & Benefits:

£37,500K + (applicant dependant) + benefits and bonus
