Job Description

I am actively seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join one of the biggest names in fashion, entertainment and sporting events globally. As a business they represent and manage some of the world's greatest sports figures and fashion icons; stages hundreds of live events and branded entertainment experiences annually; and is one of the largest independent producers and distributors of sports media.

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the marketing and sponsorship functions to drive new revenue streams across this UK sporting event portfolio.

The responsibilities of the Marketing Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the marketing strategy across this UK sports portfolio with the aim of increasing sales
  • Creative strategy - brand management
  • Marketing campaign management e.g radio and outdoor
  • PR / communications planning and media relations
  • Digital marketing including website, e-mail marketing & CRM
  • Social media strategy and implementation
  • Campaign analysis and post event reporting
  • Sole responsibility and management of event marketing budgets
  • Management of third parties, agencies and external stakeholders
  • Creation of all event related marketing materials
  • Key point of contact for all sales initiatives across dedicated sales team
  • Leadership and time management to support one direct report
  • Drive the digital marketing strategy
  • Drive meaningful partnership and activation's to deliver against sponsor and event objectives, including: pre-event marketing collaborations, PR and press promotions
  • Responsible for efficient delivery of sponsorship rights, activation and partnership marketing plans for sponsors across each event
  • Provide meaningful sponsorship ROI/analytics/post evaluation documents
  • Sponsorship sales
  • Support at all stages of the sales process, e.g. proposal writing, new business meetings and lead generation across all functions within the portfolio
  • Closing deals where PR / Marketing elements are vital to the partnership
  • Sponsorship sector / category research and analysis
  • Liaise with the legal team on contracts for new event partners

The ideal candidate:

  • Relevant event experience, both at planning stages and on site, ideally including branding rights and delivery, hospitality
  • A passion for sports marketing
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in creative programmes such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver
  • Strong time management
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Fast thinker and problem solver

Salary and benefits:

£30-£35K + fantastic benefits package
