Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Company: Sports and Hospitality

Location: North London

Reports to: Payroll Manager

JOB PURPOSE

To provide full administrative & payroll support to the Payroll Manager within a strict timeframe to ensure the accurate and timely payment of salaries for all temporary workers over multiple payrolls and various pay frequencies and in accordance with Government legislation.

PERSON

We are looking for a numerate payroll administrator to join a top sports company and venue in London. The successful applicant will have proven payroll administration experience, ideally in a busy high volume environment possesses a strong eye for detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines. It is essential you have good keyboard skills plus excellent time management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mid-Monthly Tasks

  • Prepare mid-monthly matchday payroll (up to 700 employees):
    • Post journal to nominal ledger
    • Print/email all payslips
    • Complete P45's for leavers
    • Create salary payments and other ad hoc payments
    • Administer payroll amendments and new personnel details, including tax codes and student loan notifications


Monthly Tasks

  • Prepare monthly payroll for TH Foundation approx. (80 employees) and Merchandising approx. (80 employees):
    • Post journal to nominal ledger
    • Print/email all payslips
    • Complete P45's for leavers
    • Create salary payments and other ad hoc payments
    • Administer payroll amendments and new personnel details, including tax codes and student loan notifications
  • Provide cover for Payroll Manager for preparation of monthly payrolls for staff


Other Work

  • Complete "Quarterly Business Survey" & " Monthly wages & salaries survey"
  • Complete all forms received from Jobcentre etc.
  • Reconciliation and administration of pension schemes
  • Preparation of P11D schedules, calculations and submission
  • Other ad hoc duties within the finance/accounts department


Candidate Profile

  • Proven payroll administration experience required, working in an accounts department
  • Prepared to tackle a variety of tasks and have a flexible approach towards their work
  • Excellent time management
  • An effective relationship builder
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Good attention to detail
