We're looking for a Principle Software Engineer with a background in C# and .NET technologies to join a London based company who are creating a groundbreaking product for the arts and entertainment sector.
Joining at a time of sustained growth, in a brand new role within the software engineering team, you will play a lead role in development of robust and scalable SaaS systems using the latest technologies and techniques. This is a brilliant opportunity for an established and ambitious software development lead to join a company that is creating waves across the industry, and play a key role in their ongoing success.
This is an all-encompassing role and you will be involved in every aspect of developing, delivering and continually improving complex SaaS systems that are used by an ever growing client base. This will mean working closely with the CTO on the high level systems architecture and design, through to helping the development team with hands-on coding tasks. You will provide technical leadership to the software engineering team across all technology solutions that are in use, or could be used in the future. And you will be a strong advocate for software engineering best practice, including proposing and driving through improvements to processes.
We are open to considering people from different backgrounds for this role. You might be a lead developer looking to take a step up. Or you might be a technical architect who wants to move back into a more hands-on role. What is absolutely essential is that you have worked on high transaction, high availability and scalable web applications - ideally cloud based SaaS systems.
To be considered for this position, you must have a proven track record of commercial experience in a software engineering role, with some time spent working at lead / principle / architect level. You will need to be an expert in C# and .NET technologies, and able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the following;
- Scalable, enterprise grade web applications and SaaS technology
- Object oriented programming principles and patterns
- Database concurrency issues (locking, transaction isolation)
In addition we are looking for people with excellent technical communication skills, who can demonstrate a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving. A good degree in a relevant technical discipline would be preferable, along with experience leading and mentoring development teams.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do, enthusiastic in their approach and willing to tackle whatever challenges that are presented to them. If this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you. Please contact Will Fraser at Handle Recruitment for more information.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are unable to respond to everyone. If you have not heard from us within 5 working days of sending your CV then unfortunately you have not been shortlisted for the position you have applied for.
