Salary Negotiable DOE

12 - 18 Month FTC

Handle Recruitment is working with a Music organisation to find a Facilities and Buildings Manager to join their team in London.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up a new office and conducting a full office fit out
  • Implementing the strategy, vision and operating plan for Facilities ensuring that it meets with overall company goals and objectives and delivers cost budget targets in place
  • Managing and implementing office refurbishments project and office moves, as required
  • Negotiating contracts for the major services provided by the Facilities Department
  • Setting up efficient and effective site Mechanical and Electrical services, ensuring that the building is kept in good repair and maintained to a high standard and meets the Landlords and Company's requirements
  • Ensuring that heating and ventilation is provided throughout the building to provide a comfortable and safe environment within which employees can operate
  • Preparing the annual budget for the Facilities Department in agreement with the Programme Director and ensuring that all departmental costs are maintained within the agreed budget
  • Designing and implementing of any relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure that the company meets statutory requirements
  • Meeting all the regulations required by the Local Fire Authority, including fire drills and fire prevention maintenance

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of dealing with new site operations
  • Experience of carrying out an office refurbishment inspecting and signing off completed works and keeping within a set budget
  • The ability to devise and implement an efficient post management structure
  • Experience of reporting on ongoing or upcoming works, contract amendments and FM issues
  • Strong knowledge of facilities management of both hard and soft services
  • Experience of contractor management including procurement
  • Major budgeting experience
  • NEBOSH - National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  • BIFM Facilities Management trained
