Lead Digital RF / Digital Signal Processing Engineer

** strong experience with DSP (Digital Signal Processing required)

We currently have a Lead Digital RF Engineer role available for high profile Design and Manufacturing company who's offices are based in North London.

The Senior RF engineer will take a key role in the development of new products. This is a hands-on design role that will focus on RF design down to discrete component level - covering active and passive circuit design over a wide range of frequencies from DC to Ka-Band

The right candidate will comfortable working within the lab and using the test equipment


  • Substantial laboratory-based work from concept through to production.
  • Produce high quality RF designs that meet the agreed targets for performance, reliability, manufacturability, testability, cost and timescales.
  • Perform analysis and simulation of your designs to ensure that it complies with the requirements for gain, power levels, linearity, VSWR, NF, signal related spurii etc.

Tech Skills:

  • DSP Skills (Digital Signal Processing)
  • Software Defined Radio's
  • FPGA experience
  • VHDL Coding
  • Strong MATLAB
  • Hands on design experience down to component level
  • proven experience in RF and microwave design and test of active and passive circuits,
  • DC-3 GHz (ideally up to 40 GHz) down to discrete component level
  • AWR Microwave office
  • Altium Designer

Nice to have:

  • Degree in Electronics, Physics or Engineering
  • Interest in RF over Fibre Technology
