Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arose to join a large TV production company based in Central London.

Our client is seeking a Royalties Accountant to join their team and assist in the calculation and distribution of royalty statements to producers, talent and other third parties. The role reports to the Head of Rights & Royalties

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Reconcile system generated Producer statement reports against summary reports produced by Finance prior to distribution of statements;
  • Track adjustments needed / allowable on statements, e.g. cross recoupment of advances;
  • Prepare journals for these adjustments and load into the finance system;
  • Prepare and distribute manual statements;
  • Produce statement run summary reports for sign off by HR&R;
  • Log invoices received against statements and prepare printed invoices for sign off by HR&R;
  • Track actual royalties reported against forecast by title;
  • Assist in the forecasting of royalties.
  • Assist Royalties Manager in locating email addresses and bank details of talent;
  • Manage the royalties email account - separating royalties receivable, talent and producer emails and responding as necessary;
  • Develop a working knowledge of the talent system Alliant to provide cover for the Royalties Manager including distribution of statements;
  • Preparation of loading files of gross sales for upload into the talent system for sign off by Royalties Manager;
  • Process VAT only invoices;
  • Maintain royalties tracker - track as reporting received. Chase or escalate as necessary;
  • Assist in tracking / invoicing / reporting non-standard Royalties Receivable
