Job Description

I am actively seeking a Sales Executive for an exciting river cruise company in East London.

My client are a well-recognised name across London and the market leader in offering alternative commuter routes across the capital.

This is a really nice role as it encompasses a real soft sell approach, account management, client facing meetings and lots of time out the office. This role offers great progression opportunities as they have aggressive growth plans.

The responsibilities of the Sales Executive include but are not limited to:

  • Meet sales and corporate marketing objectives
  • Review department sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Ensure that all materials and resources are effectively and efficiently utilised to minimise waste and reduce costs
  • Continuously seek ways to improve personal, team and business performance
  • Respond to inbound enquires
  • Generate outbound leads
  • Work flexibly with Sales and Marketing Department fulfilling any other duties relating to the sales or marketing
  • Managing bookings
  • Respond to private hire enquires in a timely manner
  • Proactively promote and drive sales for Private hire and Group bookings
  • Proactively promote Group bookings including sending out promotional packs
  • Arrange show rounds as required and ensure vessels concerned are up to the company presentation standard
  • Manage bookings process for external companies using the facilities
  • Account management
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and generate new relationships via telephone calls, emails and face to face meetings
  • Attend trade shows and various events throughout the year
  • Operations and admin
  • Send out contracts and terms and conditions and liaise with accounts for invoicing for all confirmed bookings
  • Complete handover sheets for Operations department
  • Ensure that all relevant information is communicated speedily and accurately in a way that ensures that the information is received and easily understood
  • Customer Service
  • Provide and promote the highest level of customer service
  • Be a brand ambassador
  • Get to know the product and services inside out

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working in a sales or events environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibility as part of a team
  • Ability to network effectively internally and externally
  • Commitment to providing customer service of the highest standard
  • Ability to prioritise, managing a sizeable workload
  • Excellent IT skills, including the MS Office package
  • Self-starter with the ability to use your own initiative

Salary and Benefits:

£22-£26K - applicant dependant + potential performance bonus
