Senior Exhibitions & Production Co-ordinator - Museums and Galleries

Handle Recruitment is working with an Art Organisation to find a Senior Exhibitions & Production Co-ordinator.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Working with external suppliers and internal managers, responsibility for managing master budgets, including monthly expenditure estimates and quarterly reconciliations
  • Liaising with the finance department on cash flows including fabrication costs and other related expenditure
  • Updating master budgets on a monthly basis and identifying risk
  • Drafting contracts for third party fabricators in the UK and other territories
  • Working with architects, shippers and other key essential consultants on the exhibition of works
  • Providing information as required for exhibition budgets
  • Administration associated with the production of the artworks and exhibition planning - list management and database inputting and management

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High numeracy skills and strong experience with costing, pricing and budget control to multi-million pound level - including multi-currency budgets
  • Outstanding Project administration experience, having worked in roles that require large projects to be run in an efficient and timely manner whilst accommodating continuing creative changes
  • Experience of drafting contracts (from templates) for distribution to third parties is desirable
  • Knowledge of production processes and a technical understanding of new processes for the purpose of logistics and contingency planning
  • Experience in research and confident to work with a range of technical and historical material, proof reading skills
  • A broad range of IT skills including database and web use, including Mac
  • Advanced level Excel skills and be competent using Excel as an analytical tool including: Modelling and data manipulation including validation, pivot, various formulas, tables of criteria for scenario checking
