IT Support Technician


Permanent: £35000 (12 month FTC initial)

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join a London based entertainment brand to provide day to day infrastructure and user support, which will include bespoke application support.

Working in a large, complex environment you will form part of a team responsible for supporting IT hardware and software, and will be heavily involved in supporting users with production application technologies. This is a great opportunity to join a hugely successful global entertainment brand, and play a key role in providing a first class technical support function.

The core focus of the role will be to provide day to day IT support for a large user base. This will include hardware, software and network support, and will also mean supporting users with industry specific production applications. You will need to take ownership of problems and work them through to a successful resolution, while keeping stakeholders updated at all times. It's an open, collaborative environment so you will be expected to contribute ideas to the team and always be looking for ways to improve.

To be considered for the role, you will need a solid track record of IT / technical support experience and will be comfortable working in a large, structured environment. Ideally, you will have worked in the media industry and will have experience with production applications. We will also be looking for clear evidence of the following;

  • A strong knowledge of PC and Mac technologies - including hardware and software.
  • An understanding of TCP/IP networking and security.
  • Experience supporting bespoke applications (ideally including production applications).
  • Excellent problem solving skills, and a broad interest in technology.

In addition, you will need first class communication and customer service skills, a positive and proactive approach and the ability to multi task and manage your time effectively.
