Handle Recruitment are excited to be partnering with a global B2B media business to recruit a passionate and entrepreneurial Strategic Business Development Executive to join their ambitious international sales team.

The business itself is a global media group that is the established leader in the delivery of paid content across all areas of the industries they operate in. They focus on providing innovative and high value content to their subscriber base and are looking to scale this B2B model to serve new sectors and countries to maintain their global leadership.

Reporting to the UK based Chief Commercial Officer, the successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced Strategic Business Development Executive with a successful track record of meeting and exceeding annual sales targets as well a solutions focused approach to selling. You will be passionate about multi-platform selling with experience selling digital display space, custom content, events, account-based marketing and broadcast solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Increasing sales revenue from existing accounts and to build new commercial relationships
  • Promoting new solutions such as data and content to clients across multiple industry sectors
  • Developing a strong understanding of our industry sectors in order to generate new content ideas with your customer base
  • Going beyond our core industry sectors to identify marketing contacts in order to sell our data solutions
  • Providing accurate account management and forecasting
  • Meeting and exceeding annual sales targets
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders including the Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director as well as other teams across the business

Key attributes and experience required to be successful in the role:

  • Prior digital sales experience
  • Proven background in selling integrated solutions in the B2B media space to clients directly
  • Understanding of lead generation and Account Based Marketing (ABM)
  • Experience of selling across international markets
  • The ability to account map and develop multiple contacts within the same organisations at a global level
  • An entrepreneurial, solutions focused approach to selling
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment that includes Sales, Editorial, Product and Design
  • A passion for new business development
  • To listen, think creatively and apply solutions to meet our customer needs
  • Confident and clear communicator
