Job Description

We are looking for an IT Support expert to join a growing London based media brand and be the sole person responsible for providing day to day user and infrastructure support for a small but expanding office.

This is a standalone role, where you will be the go-to person for any and every IT issue, and will involve a mix of reactive user support, proactive infrastructure support and project work. You will need to be comfortable working under your own initiative in a relatively small environment. This is a great opportunity to join a successful, forward thinking company operating in the film industry, and play a key role in ensuring their IT systems and processes are the best they can be.

The core focus of this role will be to take ownership of technical issues and manage them through to resolution. You will be the only person working in IT in the London office, and although you will have the support of the US team, the time difference means you will be working on your own for the bulk of the day. This means you must be comfortable using your initiative, planning your workload, and managing relationships with internal users and third party suppliers.

The role will also involve supporting the underlying infrastructure, and taking ownership of any technical projects that affect the London office. You will need to be able to juggle multiple tasks at any one time, and provide a high level of customer service to ensure users are happy at all times.

To be considered for this role you will need a proven track record of IT Support experience, along with demonstrable evidence in a standalone IT role, ideally in the media or entertainment industry. You will need a broad technical background encompassing Mac and PC technologies, including desktop and server infrastructure, AV and telephony systems. You will also need strong problem solving skills and the ability to take ownership of problems and work them through to a successful resolution.

In addition to your proven technical skills, you will also need the ability to work under your own initiative in a standalone role. You will need first class communication skills, a positive and proactive approach and a degree of flexibility in how you tackle different tasks.
