Handle are excited to have partnered with an incredible scaling fintech company in London who are looking for a VP of People & Talent to come on board.
They are true disruptors of their industry and are looking for someone progressive to define a bespoke people agenda in line with their business plan and long term goals.
You will head up a small but knowledgeable HR and talent team and report directly into the CEO. You must be operating at board level as you will partner directly with the senior leadership team.
The business has gone through lots of growth and changes in the last year and are now preparing for their next scaling phase (c.140-200+), as well as working towards gaining Series C funding.
Working with such inspiring innovators, you must have experience working in scaling creative/fintech companies, as well as be naturally adaptive to consistent growth and evolution. By nurturing and coaching managers, you will be a proven leader and have a deep understanding of how to develop employees, empowering them to reach their full potential.

In an extremely fast paced and ever changing environment, knowing what to prioritise and what's urgent is key.

There is a real balance and importance placed on two key areas of the business - sales/customer services and technology/product. Ensuring the needs are met across both business areas evenly and tailoring your approach to each is vital.
As this role is in the fintech world, it would help if you had a regulated background (not essential but ideal). The ideal candidate would also have experienced larger/best practice environments as well as smaller scaling environments.
Key projects will include:-
- Create a world class onboarding and employee lifecycle process
- Drive culture initiatives that embody the companies vision and values, as well as aligning these with the projected growth and scale that is expected in the coming years.
- Use data and insights whenever possible to set the D&I agenda, as well as engagement projects
- Continuously map career paths for existing talent and succession plans
- Create L&D programmes specific to each individual and business area
- Define clear and efficient processes to ensure clarity for everyone on ways of working
- Develop a competitive compensation programme with the use of external and internal data, key industry insights and market analysis
