Job Description

We are looking for a Webmaster to work three days a week for a leading supplier and distributor of health and body care products.

Based in North West London, this role will entail taking responsibility for all elements of the company's online presence, which will include a complete overhaul of the company website in order to improve ecommerce sales. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work part time to play a key role in helping to grow an online brand.

The core focus of the role will be to redevelop the main company website, which has been a bit neglected in recent years. You will also take responsibility for the day to day maintenance of a portfolio of different brand sites. All of this will require a broad skill set encompassing website development, ecommerce knowledge, an eye for design and an understanding of marketing. The company has ambitious growth plans and sees their ecommerce channel as a key part of this growth - you will need to build, support and continually evolve a website to facilitate this.

Working in a fast paced environment, you will need to manage your workload and prioritise your tasks accordingly. You will build strong working relationships with stakeholders within the business, as well as engaging with external suppliers when required. You will have the autonomy to make decisions, and will be able to take on new responsibilities as the role evolves over time.

To be considered for this role, you must have background involving the creation and ongoing support of websites / platforms, ideally in the retail industry. In addition, we will be looking for evidence of the following;

  • Solid coding skills, including HTML, CSS, XML, and ideally MySQL and PHP.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce websites, including the delivery of content, improvement of functionality and layout, and ideally experience with Magento.
  • A solid knowledge of digital marketing, including SEO and Analytics packages.
  • An eye for design, including experience with Photoshop.
  • An up to date knowledge of common trends and technologies, and the ability to suggest ideas and follow them through to conclusion.

In addition, we are looking for people with strong communication, relationship building and influencing skills, who are able to thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment. If this sounds of interest, please contact Will Fraser at Handle Recruitment for more information.
