Assistant Accountant - Creative Agency - London
A fast growing Creative agency are looking to hire a permanent Assistant Accountant based in London. This Assistant Accountant will be responsible for day to day accounting duties as well as gaining exposure within the Royalties division. You will be assisting the Financial Controller and part of a vibrant finance team.
Offering hybrid working with a an expectation of 3 days in the office and 2 from home. They are also offering a clear progression pathway and are open to offering study support should this be of interest!
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of Monthly and Quarterly VAT Returns for UK and Europe
- Oversee AP and AR deadlines (Month end Closure etc)
- Bank Reconciliations
- Currency Revaluations e.g. Bank Accounts and Inter company
- Control of Intercompany
- Month End Journals - Accruals, Prepayments, Deferrals etc
- Assist with the preparation of Management Accounts
- Compile Royalty support schedules - Quarterly/Monthly
- Licensing - Check reporting aligns with contracts
- General Ledger / Band Account reconciliations
- Preparation of Royalty journals
- Ad Hoc Reporting
- Preparation of Royalty Statements
- Posting of Royalties into Navision Accounting System
Key skills:
- Previous experience working within an Accountancy role
- Experience within Royalties would be highly advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT Skills to include Microsoft Excel
- Excellent numeracy and attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of Multi Currency
- Must be timely and organised
