Handle are delighted to be working alongside a massively successful cosmetics brand in their search for an assistant management accountant to join their London team, this is an amazing opportunity for a part qualified accountant (ACCA?CIMA) approaching their finalist stage to come in to a dynamic London team.
The Assistant Management accountant will:
· Support the preparation of timely, complete, and accurate monthly management
accounts.
· Perform monthly reconciliations and journal postings for stock movements.
· Reconcile Net Invoicing monthly, including adjustments made for discounts, returns and
markdowns, including journals.
· Perform additional monthly reconciliations such as Sales daybook, Sales ledger to TB,
Treatment revenue, Cost of Goods, etc.
· Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
· Prepare monthly reports and reconciliations required to maintain intercompany
accounts
(Travel Retail), and other group companies.
· Review and post journals for financial controller and other finance department staff in
order to maintain segregation of duties required by internal audit.
· Report to Group using HFM, the Group software.
· Prepare Plastic Packaging Tax for HMRC submission.
· Prepare Office for National Statistics enquirie
· Support the November hard close and year end close.
· Provide documents and deal with queries arising from the year-end audit.
· Perform Corporate Tax reporting to Group and detailed analysis for the corporate tax
pack.
· Support with the preparation of the statutory accounts.
· Support with the preparation of the VAT return.
· Any other ad hoc reporting.
· Suggest and implement improvements to ways of working.
· Link with stakeholders where queries arise
You will be:
· Essential - CIMA, ACA, ACCA newly qualified or part qualified.
· At least 1 years experience within similar accounting role
· Advanced Excel user.
· Competent management information systems user (Hyperion, ERM package, Cognos).
· Open, approachable and methodical.
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
· Ability to demonstrate common sense and work independently.
