A fantastic opportunity has come up with leading Entertainment company for a Junior Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. Here the Finance team is the backbone of the business, ensuring insightful and accurate commercial decisions are made, which will then be translated into the financials.

As the Junior Management Accountant you will be a key member of the finance team. You will be pivotal in the month end process, working heavily with the analysts, to ensure month end adjustments are posted on time and ensuring all reporting and statutory deadlines.

This role offers hybrid working with 3 days in office.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate, prepare and post month end journals for revenue and costs.

  • Provide P&L, cash flow, and KPI variance analysis and commentaries, working closely with finance analysts.

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Support UK film productions, including the setup of SPVs and liaison with production accountants.

  • Maintain asset registers and post monthly interest and depreciation.

  • Assisting accounts receivable to ensure invoicing and cash collection are up to date.

  • Covering accounts payable when required

  • Assist with the statutory and grant audit process.

  • Maintenance of group reporting tools and active support of system developments/implementations.

  • Ad-hoc projects/reporting - including projects related to the continuing growth and development of the business and supporting the wider finance team as required.

Skills:

  • Excellent Excel skills including nested formulas, vlookups, pivot tables & sumifs

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a finance team

  • Finance/Accounting study (AAT/university)

  • Passion for the film industry and regular interaction with content

  • Bright and motivated with keen attention to detail

  • Proactive with positive can-do attitude

  • Self-starter who thrive in an environment where they need to take the initiative and initiate change

  • Organised with the ability to meet to strict deadlines
