Handle are delighted to be working with an international entertainment management company that works with extremely high net and profile individuals within the entertainment and media industries.

You will be working closely with the managing director in the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities within the business, responsibilities will be:

- Double entry bookkeeping (the real thing, not just data entry - absolutely essential!)

- Proficient (familiar is not enough) with Xero and cloud accounting - essential!

- Trial Balances, Balance Sheet, P&L

- Basic understanding of company compliance (e.g annual confirmation statements, PSCs, accounting reference dates, etc.)

- Basic understanding of tax (VAT, PAYE, P11D, what expenses are deductible)

- Basic understanding of the sports and music business (e.g. creating management or agency commission statements)

- Practice experience

- Ability to get on the phone with HMRC to resolve basic tax queries (e.g. registering or de-registering for VAT, Self Assessment, PAYE, appealing penalties, etc.)

- Interest in US tax

- Customer service skills (e.g. picking up the phone and fielding client queries).

- Proficient Mac user and good IT skills (I'm hoping to transition into a fully digital / cloud-based office so this is essential)

Xero knowledge and experience are essential.

Entertainment experience and an accountancy practice background is very desirable, this is a unique opportunity, with unique flexibility and exposure to incredible clients.
