IT Manager & Systems Administrator

We are working with a very exciting live events brand looking for an IT Manager to join their tech team. This a great opportunity to join one of the leading businesses within the wider live events sector.

The IT Manager will oversee and manage the client's IT infrastructure including hardware, core applications and 3rd party services. He/She will develop new technical solutions whilst ensuring that all European IT operations are aligned with global standards but also provide technical support to a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring that their technical requirements are met and problems are dealt with.



The role:

  • To comply with, and contribute to, all information security programmes or legislative control practices e.g. PCI-DSS, DPA, etc.
  • Configure, set up, manage, monitor and troubleshoot the Company technical infrastructure (network, hardware and software) for the purposes of security, performance, reliability and business continuity
  • Assess, develop and participate in mitigating security risks, whilst managing and maintaining Company systems, based upon business optimization targets;
  • Stay up-to-date with technological advancements and security threats; making recommendations against both;
  • Actively engage with various Company departments, including outside of Europe, to determine and coordinate IT solutions for solving business problems;
  • Interface with end-user customers to understand and interpret business requirements, to allow the application of Company technology for solving business problems;



Requirements:

  • Industry recognised qualifications e.g. CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, CCA etc. or 5+ years managing technical infrastructures (network, hardware and software) to include installing and supporting servers, PCs and laptops; (essential)
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - including communicating technical issues with a non-technical audience;
  • Ability to form close working relationships with stakeholders of all levels including end-users, technical team, vendors and senior management;
  • Experience of VMware and Networking Technologies such as routing, switching, firewalls, fibre and VLANs and managing network hardware (Mikrotik Firewalls, Ubiquiti Switches and Wireless AP's);
  • Evidence of managing and maintaining multi-site AD and group policies, with integration with Azure AD.
