An exciting role for a Recording Royalties Accountant to work for an entrepreneurial business in the music industry.
The successful candidate MUST have at least 3-5 years Music Recording Royalties experience within the music industry.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate various stages of monthly rendering process to ensure timely and accurate royalty reporting.
- Ensure royalties are properly calculated and distributed
- Accurately implement contractual terms and track shares into their royalty system
- Manage, track and upload source DSP files for processing from various partners.
- Liaise with global external and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and provide required information and/or analyses to support their requests.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Prior experience with royalty accounting and royalty systems (within the recorded music industry)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Comfortable w/ large data sets
- Comfortable with reading and interpreting royalty terms of an artist contract
