We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Risk, Loss and Protection manager to join global media empire on a permanent basis. An ideal candidate should have extensive experience within a global business with multiple arms along with vast knowledge of an EMEA brand. We are also looking for someone with strong operational focus on retail asset protection and risk management initiatives such as profit protection, ecommerce fraud and general theft investigations, health and safety, emergency preparedness and business continuity programs.

Excellent attention to detail, innovative, commercial, and strategic mindset and solid team building and communication skills are a must to be considered for the role.

Please note: This role requires 4 days in office and some international travel may be required.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop proactive and analytical strategy for asset protection Standards of Practice, programs and compliance tools associated to workplace security and general profit protection initiatives.

  • Identify, develop and manage segment specific employee new hire and refresher training programs related to eLearning, leader-led training and awareness poster and tips programs associated to physical and workplace security, asset protection and general loss mitigation initiatives.

  • Oversee physical security tools for segment owned and operated facilities with blended model regional security collaboration for shared campuses.

  • Manage cross-channel supply-chain/ecommerce/distribution centre profit protection/inventory shrink reduction, fraud investigation and Guest appeasement processes to reduce loss exposure.

  • Oversee internal/external investigations and interviews and incident management system (case disposition, prosecution, restitution, etc.)

  • Support Anti-Piracy initiatives related to retail Intellectual Property Abuse and Counterfeit merchandise investigations.

  • Support 3rd party retailer/licensee embargo/Sensitive Information Protection initiatives related to digital and physical asset handling; establish sample merchandise work-flow protocols.

  • Serve as the retail profit protection subject matter expert and act as a liaison for Regional and Corporate Security and Market Law Enforcement

  • Ensure policies and procedures support corporate and regional guidelines, are updated and enforced. Oversee related audit initiatives, track performance/compliance and make appropriate recommendations to close gaps

  • Work with business to determine design/remodel needs to mitigate potential loss exposures

  • Develop pro-active, analytical approach to Risk Management SOPs, programs and compliance tools associated to physical and workplace safety, general risk mitigation and business resiliency initiatives

  • Identify, develop and manage segment specific employee new hire and refresher training programs related to eLearning, leader-led training and awareness poster and tips programs associated to physical and workplace safety and general risk mitigation and business resiliency initiatives

  • Manage Risk programs and compliance associated to Event Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Health and Safety programs to meet regulatory standards

  • Serve as the Risk subject matter expert and act as a liaison for Regional and Corporate Risk

  • Ensure policies and procedures support corporate and regional guidelines, are updated, and enforced. Oversee related audit initiatives, track performance/compliance and make appropriate recommendations to close gaps.

  • Manage analytics and related profit protection and KPI initiatives for segment leadership.

  • Manage expenses to achieve department fiscal budget goals.

  • Drive cross-functional stakeholder collaborations to support integrated approach to initiatives (Operations, Finance, Accounting, HR/ER, Corp Risk, Legal and Regional Security, etc.)

  • Lead and develop team and create a strong succession plan.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree-level education in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • Significant experience of asset protection and risk program leadership or related experience required with large multi-unit speciality retailer

  • Advanced Wiklander Zulawski investigation certifications

  • Knowledge of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 and similar European legislation

  • Experience of developing and implementing loss prevention policies / processes

  • Proven experience of building effective relationships and managing stakeholders within a large, multi-national, matrix organisation
