This is a hugely exciting time for people and talent professionals with an increased demand for creative and forward-thinking ‘People, Talent & Culture’ leaders to join businesses in truly influential, commercial roles.
Handle HR wanted to reflect this shift in the market, moving forward from the HR title and rebranding as ‘People Experience’.
But why did we think this change needed to happen?

The last 18 months saw HR taking a key role in steering businesses through lockdowns, navigating new & constantly evolving legislation as well as leading on responses to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Throughout this period, People and Culture strategies have become business critical priorities to help address challenges all businesses have been facing around remote working, wellbeing, communications, engagement, talent acquisition, and onboarding – the list could go on!

At the same time, candidate expectations around company culture, benefits, and ethics have increased, with many companies experiencing high levels of attrition as people reassess their career goals.

Where before, progressive initiatives around wellbeing, flexible working, or diversity could often be seen as ‘nice to have' or box-ticking exercises, all business leaders are now seeing the commercial value in investing in people-focused strategies and reaping the benefits of doing so in terms of talent attraction and retention.

Alongside a name change, we have also launched a bi-weekly newsletter, with industry news and insights to help generate conversation across our People, Talent and Culture community.

You can sign up to the people experience here and we look forward to helping you navigate what happens next!
