Introducing Black on the Square - a new festival showcasing Black culture and creativity.
Taking place at Trafalgar Square, Saturday 2nd September, the one-day, family-friendly festival will showcase the breadth of London’s Black cultural and creative across music, poetry, art, fashion and more.
As well as the mainstage will feature performances from the likes of ENNY, BXKS and surprise special guests. DJ sets and live music from Touching Bass, Queer Bruk and more.
There will also be a photography installation by Jenny Baptiste and a music showcase from Newham's Art Beyond the Shell, plus stalls from Black-owned businesses including Caribbean and African food and artisan goods.
Fynn Studio (Creative Programmer, Black on the Square) said:
“We’ve programmed an event that gives flowers to the new and the known, to pioneers of Black culture in London, and to talent with unique stories...Black on the Square is a moment to celebrate community, and include everyone in the cultural conversation of this city.”
