Every Friday, we celebrate London and the creative industries.
This week we shine a light on London-based design studio, Rude, and their goal to inspire children to get involved in the UK Creative industries through their new book ‘I Want to Be A Creative’.
The book is an immersive guide to the creative industries, seeking to educate and inspire young children and emphasising the importance of creative thinking. The book contains exercises , resources and advice from career mentors on how to break into industries like filmmaking, writing and architecture.
Rude's aim is to be able to provide every primary school in the UK with a copy of the book, around 25,000 copies, and they need your help!
"For the first batch of publication, our target is £10k—and there are tons of ways to support. With every book pre-ordered at full price, we will send a second copy to a school. If you want to get even more involved, you can pledge 10 books for schools, engage Rude for a creative assembly, become an official sponsor of the book with your own shout-out in the book, or commission a giant mural at a school of your choice." - Abi Meats, Creative Director
