Every Friday we celebrate London and the creative industries

This week we celebrate Art on the Underground, who have commissioned six new artists to put their unique touch on the design and audio of London's famous transport system. With TFL reaching 4 million journeys per day, the new programme will be seen by the most amount of riders since the start of the pandemic.

The artworks will be showcased throughout 2024 at St James park and Brixton Station, Heathrow Terminal 4's rotunda, a brand new pocket tube map, and audio works throughout the capital. Art on the Underground has done other amazing work throughout the year, such as A Little Slice of Paradise by Joy Gregory, a collage for the front cover of the pocket tube map in December 2023.
