This week we celebrate Meltdown, the UK’s longest-running festival curated completely by artists, and hosted by the legendary Chaka Khan.
Since 1993, Meltdown has invited one iconic artist each year to curate their version of the festival. This year's festival includes a selection of jazz, R&B soul and more, free events from rising talent, and headline performances from Chaka Khan herself.
Events include:
Through the Fire with Sisters in Dub & Kinetica Bloco - A mix of meditative dub, deep roots reggae and energetic steppas.
Queer Bruk & Friends - A unique club night bridging the gap between Afro-Caribbean music and vibrant queer nightlife.
WAR- Since 1969, these men have combined funk and jazz, aiming to spread a message of brotherhood and harmony
