Accounts Assistant - Live Music

Leading festival company are looking for bright, enthusiastic and progressive Accounts Assistant to join their dedicated and passionate finance team.

You will support them in ensuring the company has up to date and relevant financial information, processing invoices and payment runs as well as in their reporting duties to festival management and to the wider finance team.

With the festivals being held over the summer, the role requires strong housekeeping throughout the year with a big hands-on push in the two months prior to the event, followed by a solid block of reconciliation in the lead up to the December year end.

The Responsibilities:

  • Processing all invoices for operational costs and setting up weekly payment runs
  • Processing all invoices for artists and talent, setting up and managing the payment runs
  • Maintenance of AP & AR ledgers including supplier statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving invoicing issues in a timely manner
  • Sharing remittances with suppliers and partners
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end close process, including reporting into the Group consolidation system (Onestream)
  • Deal with overseas withholding tax issues for festival artists.
  • Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems, improve and maintain accuracy.
  • Working operationally with colleagues across finance and non-finance to ensure accurate information and analysis is provided.
  • Ad-hoc reporting projects as requested

The Skills required:

  • Experience of the hospitality/entertainment sector would be a benefit but not necessary for someone with the right attitude.
  • Proven track record of maintaining AP ledger
  • AAT Level 4 Qualified or "Qualified by experience"
  • GCSE (or Higher) Maths & English Language.
  • Strong commercial approach to work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Strong numerical, financial and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - in writing and verbally.
  • Experience on Xero is preferable
