We have a great new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a global and growing sports entertainment company on a permanent basis. A successful candidate will be working with a team of 4 and will be responsible for end to end transactional finance duties, and should show great enthusiasm, self-motivation and be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
To be considered for this role you will have had around 2 years experience in a similar Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper role and be actively studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA or similar qualification.
Responsibilities:
Processing supplier invoices and matching to the PO System
Preparing the payment runs
Raising sales invoices
Credit Control and Supplier Statement Reconciliations
Supporting month end - processing journals and reconciliation to trial balance
Expenditure analysis
Balance sheet reconciliation (accruals, prepayments)
Multi currency bank reconciliations
Run Forex adjustments across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and GLs
Posting of inter-company recharges across the business
Processing staff expenses
Maintain Fixed Asset register and prepare depreciation journals.
Assisting with year end
Assisting in Project Maintenance and helping the wider team with budget management
Other ad hoc tasks as required
Skills Required:
Sage experience is essential and proficient on Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Procim highly desirable, although training will be provided. Experience of using any other Project Management / Budgeting Tool and PO system is preferable
Be comfortable with transactional finance and will have had some exposure to month-end.
High level of attention to detail and ability to find errors
Willing to challenge and make positive changes
Articulate with strong communication skills as this role will require you to liaise with senior members of staff on a regular basis alongside your day to day finance responsibilities
Ability to hit the ground running and work unsupervised
Be able to work under pressure and manage changing deadlines
Passion and drive to learn and complete studies
