I am looking for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join one of my clients on an interim basis to lend a helping hand.

This role is initially for one month and based on site in central London. There is a requirement for an immediate start for this role.

As an all-round Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will be critical to managing key stakeholder relationships by being the first point of contact with customers and business partnering with internal departments. You will contribute to the business by driving process change to ensure the systems and processes are always best in class.

Responsibilities:

  • Timely and effective collection of all debts and customers payments.

  • Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices.

  • Posting and allocating daily receipts to accounting systems.

  • Assisting with Withholding Tax queries.

  • Processing invoices

  • Providing administrative support to Accounts Receivable Manager.

  • Close liaison with operational managers about debtor-management to minimise outstanding receivables

  • A/R Inbox management

  • Adhoc tasks to support the Accounts Receivable Manager


Desired qualifications and requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years in Accounts Receivable or General Ledger experience is preferred.

  • A strong sense and awareness of control, diligence and attention to detail, balanced with an ability to see the bigger picture

  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills (VLookups & pivot tables)

  • Must be capable of managing workload within a busy environment and must be able to meet deadlines

  • Ability to improve and develop processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with all levels of the business

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

  • Problem solving attitude and ability to identify solutions that comply with policies and

    controls

  • Attention to detail, good organisational and effective time management
