We are looking for an Assistant Accountant/Production Bookkeeper to join a growing media production house on a part time basis - 2 days per week from their London HQ.
Ideally we are looking for a hands-on Assistant Accountant who can help with the smooth running of the finance department. This role will work on our more general finance duties for the Production arm of the business rather than getting involved in the separate productions.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced Production environment, with the ability to adhere to tight deadlines and communicate confidently with the senior management team.
The role offers 2 days per week and this can be flexible depending on your requirements.
Responsibilities:
Manage VAT returns for production company and associated film SPVs (during development).
Create quarterly Management Reports.
Assist with tracking company expenditure vs. agreed upon annual budget.
Reconcile company card transactions.
Process invoices for payment.
Issuing invoices and monitoring their timely payment.
Assisting the principals in cash-flow generation and tracking.
Key Skills:
Knowledge of Xero, Dext, and Equals a plus.
Relevant degree or accountancy qualification or similar industry experience
A background within Media/Entertainment would be highly desirable.
Prior experience working within a similar finance position is essential
IT proficient with strong MS Excel skills
Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
