Handle Recruitment is seeking an organised and driven Assistant Event Producer to join our client's award-winning events and conference business.

4 days a week in office, 1 day at home
Salary: £28,000 + Bonus
Location: South West London

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the world's fastest growing sectors, Africa's power industry. You will be part of a passionate, collaborative team delivering world-class events, with a clear pathway to progress into an Event Producer role.

The Event Production Assistant will provide essential administrative support on flagship events such as the Africa Energy Forum (300+ speakers, Dubai 2025) and the YES! Summit (250+ speakers), as well as regional events in Washington, Zambia and Ghana.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and organisational support across a portfolio of international events.
  • Liaise with high-level speakers (government ministers, C-suite executives) to ensure smooth registration and preparation.
  • Maintain accurate records in registration and speaker databases; update event websites with agenda and speaker details.
  • Support onsite delivery of events, ensuring excellent experiences for attendees.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in marketing, sales and operations to deliver events to the highest standard.
  • Contribute to additional projects such as networking sessions, fundraising activities and workshops.
  • Recommend and implement efficient processes as the role develops.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong administration, organisation and time management skills.
  • Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building ability.
  • Exceptional attention to detail; calm under pressure; able to multitask.
  • Team-oriented with outstanding customer service skills.
  • Interest in Africa's energy and infrastructure sector and eagerness to learn.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Additional languages (French, Portuguese, Spanish) desirable.
