Location: Hybrid - currently 3 days in central London office

What you will be doing

Handle has over 40 years of experience, strong established relationships with a wide range of businesses in the Music, Media and Entertainment sectors.

As a Business Development Consultant you will be expected to generate new revenue through developing existing accounts and on-boarding new accounts in targeted sectors. You will be:

  1. Renewing and up-selling existing clients.
  1. Meeting with potential established high volume clients, assessing their needs and presenting solution-based proposals that best fit their needs, selling across Handle's various divisions and complementary services.
  1. Targeting young businesses who are moving into periods of high growth and change.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Work to and meet annual revenue targets that are reviewed on a regular basis
  • Gain a full understanding of all Handle Services and the different ways we can support clients
  • Regularly analyse client, revenue and placement data to identify BD opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to develop your knowledge of the market.
  • Effectively map out, prospect and qualify potential clients by networking, calling, setting/attending meetings using a consultative sales approach.
  • Engage with prospective clients to understand how you can help provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams across the business effectively to deliver value to clients.
  • Use Bullhorn CRM to track and report on pipeline activity, development status, and planning for next steps. Review reports, activity and status with divisional Directors tand create monthly reports for Management meetings
  • Develop a plan of marketing activity (social, hosting events breakfast hook-ups etc) to support and complement your BD activity.
  • Take part in networking opportunities, some of which may be out of hours to broaden your contact database.
  • Be a Handle brand ambassador.

Experience needed:

  • Proven, successful track record of new business sales.
  • Ability to build sustainable relationships.
  • Consultative & investigative in identifying client needs and presenting strategic solutions.
  • Highly-motivated attitude towards achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close the deal.
  • A focused and well-organised approach to pitching and selling.
  • Excellent networking and collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication across multiple levels of an organisation; comfortable communicating with senior executives.
  • Ability to work in a very autonomous way.
  • Strong Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Sales CRM
