Do you have commercial management experience in a software company? Do you want to play a key part in transforming the way we travel to make it cleaner and more sustainable?

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to work for a brand that provides software which enables airports to run more efficiently, and builds outstanding traveller experiences. Their software solutions are currently used in 110 airports globally.

You will help to expand the company's product offerings and brand across all business streams and play an advisory role to the sales team. You will also provide insight into how to win new business, and seek opportunities to grow its portfolio.

Your guidance will be key to ensuring that the company adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements as needed within the airport industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Service delivery teams to put together realistic and achievable statements of work outlining what deliverables can be achieved with the price negotiated such as timeframes; costings; key milestones; cash flow
  • Support the sales team in negotiation of the terms and conditions of contracts with customers
  • Work with internal training teams as a subject matter expert to help create training materials around key contract and commercial terms to help educate the operations teams
  • Analyse and negotiate all commercials relating to a customer deals/ projects to ensure maximum profitability and that deals are future proof and not just fit for the current business context
  • Work directly with the Business Development Director and Sales teams to co-ordinate the compilation of successful bid responses
  • Ownership of sundry contracts such as lease agreements
  • Take ownership of internal compliance processes specifically related to the DCC, their data protection requirements and adherence to company ISO standards

  • Broad understanding of UK/ European contractual law
  • Strong numeracy/ finance skills
  • Software vendor experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Solid track record in stakeholder management and building partnerships
