Editor/ Producer - Media Art

I am currently working on a new Editor/ Producer role for well-known Art Gallery Company. This company have worked on some fantastic exhibitions internationally and are currently looking for the right candidate to join the digital content team and manage video and audio projects for gallery sales and communications.

The right candidate will have a creative mindset and be good at storytelling. They will also have project management skills and contacts within the media world. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the growing digital team and work on some exciting video and audio upcoming projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead on the new strategies for this companies video and audio - including YouTube/ Sound cloud/ Podcasting that are in line with brand and business goals
  • Manage the film commissions for the gallery
  • Edit footage created by a freelance camera operator as and when needed for the sales videos, social media videos and media partnerships
  • Manage the international budget for allocating resources and freelancers needed
  • Commission production companies and filmmakers for projects
  • Provide different strategies for media projects
  • Coordinate and brief spokespeople in collaboration with the artist and sales team
  • Coordinator the oversees live stream events
  • Manage the galleries extensive media archive
  • Be responsible for the recruitment and management of video production interns and apprentices
  • Manage the media archive

You will have

  • A real passion for working with contemporary artists and in the art sector
  • Connections with the media world - videographers, directors and editors
  • Demonstrate experience briefing-in video projects
  • Knowledge of YouTube
  • Experience editing videos for social media platforms
  • Great project management skills
  • An eye for detail and the ability to show artworks and productions in the best way
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure
