Handle Recruitment are looking for an Event Manager to join our clients leading global entertainment company, within their international sports activations team.


Temp - 3 Month Contract
Location - Chiswick (3 days a week in office)
Up to £250 a day based on experience.

Job Summary
Support and execute the Corporate Relations strategy across the business, with a focus on sports-related events and merchandise within the sports division. Support the Senior Director, Corporate Relations in the delivery of large cross-company projects that are cost-efficient, exceed expectations, and deliver world-class experiences.
Lead the management of small and medium-scale events including cocktail receptions and other special projects.
This role is based in London and forms part of a team located across London, Paris, and New York.

Key Initiatives
Project Management of Key Corporate Relations Client Events

  • Support the planning and operational execution of global events including Grand Slam Tennis, Cycling, the Olympic Games, and other major sporting events
  • Provide operational support on multiple internal and external events throughout the year including cocktail events, internal celebrations, screenings, and other special projects
  • Strengthen key internal stakeholder relationships across the organisation to devise and execute bespoke client programmes
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with French sports federations and vendors, ensuring requirements are met
  • Support programme elements including hotel, ticketing, F&B, transport, print and production, onsite setup, accreditation, and more
  • Update itineraries, briefing documents, and communications as required
  • Coordinate guest travel in partnership with internal and external travel teams
  • Work closely with Compliance to develop hospitality programmes that support company objectives and adhere to business regulations

Merchandise

  • Lead crew merchandising and support all client merchandise projects


Key Features

  • Strategic Planning: Demonstrated experience in strategic planning for both small and large-scale events, supporting commercial goals, maximising ROI, and delivering world-class guest experiences
  • Executive Management: Proven experience managing C-suite executives across a range of events
  • Regional/Local Coordination: Collaborate with global stakeholders to manage client and executive requirements
  • Hospitality: Deliver high-level client and executive hospitality, ensuring exceptional customer service and relationship management
  • Logistics: Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and with maximum impact
  • Budgets: Deliver events on time and within budget, negotiating fees where appropriate and tracking costs from start to finish
  • Corporate Relations: Support brand messaging through events that reflect the company's ethos and strategic objectives
  • Crisis Management: Confident handling high-pressure situations and incorporating contingency planning into event delivery


Required Capabilities

  • Articulate, organised, and proactive with a minimum of five years' experience in an events role
  • Happy to work weekends and out of hours
  • Strong complex project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal capabilities
  • Experience in vendor management, negotiation, and contracting
  • Proven ability to manage budgets while delivering consistently high standards
  • Comfortable working across multiple locations and time zones
  • Creative approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Willingness and ability to travel in support of global hospitality programmes and events
