Finance Analyst - Entertainment - Central London
We are looking for a part qualified Finance Analyst to join a expanding TV/Entertainment business based in Central London on a permanent basis. This Finance Analyst you will have oversight over home entertainment side of the business working closely with the Head of Commercial Finance.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience working within Finance with prior exposure to commercial analysis. A candidate working towards an ACCA/CIMA qualification would benefit greatly from the exposure this role provides. We are hoping for an engaging candidate with a real can do attitude and someone who will represent the brand with great integrity and passion.
Key responsibilities:
- Commercial analysis on sales including sales charting, price tracking, competitor analysis, sales curves, customer and market trend analysis.
- Business partner the Home Entertainment Team, maintaining and controlling marketing budgets, providing recommendations and post campaign analysis on marketing campaigns as well as title selection.
- Supporting the investment appraisal process by providing insightful information, such as comparison titles, to aid decision making on new projects and continuously improve the process by tracking against these.
- Work with Digital & TV analyst to maintain and control marketing budgets between departments.
- Prepare the budget and re-forecasts for Home entertainment revenue and costs in conjunction with the commercial team, feeding into the overall company budget
- Prepare month end adjustments for Home entertainment revenue and costs, including variance analysis to forecast
- Review and assist with management accounts review, invoices and cash allocations
- Maintenance of historical data for analysis purposes
- Adhoc reporting and analysis where required
Key skills:
- Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or working towards
- 2+ years experience working in Finance with some analytical exposure
- A background within Media or Entertainment is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident working with both internal and external stakeholders
- IT proficient with strong MS Excel
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- A passion for the TV/Entertainment industry would be amazing
