Finance Analyst - TV

Global TV business is looking for a qualified accountant to support its growing business. Candidates must have an enthusiastic approach and a strong technical background. This role is an ideal opportunity for the candidate to gain a wide range of experience across reporting, forecasting and commercial analysis.

Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis manager, responsibilities will include:

  • Business partner with platform and format content teams; understanding reporting requirements and monthly revenue analysis

  • Sales contract review to check signed deals for monthly revenue recognition

  • Take ownership of overhead budget preparation, including reviewing all overhead lines and working with the sales and marketing teams to prepare individual travel and entertainment (T&E) budgets Overhead analysis; working with sales and marketing teams on a regular basis to understand and track market and T&E spend against budget

  • Support preparation of the month end finance report for presentation to Head of Finance, CFO and CEO

  • Annual survey and practise payments reports

  • Undertake Power BI training and utilise the software to develop reports and present information

  • Undertake other ad hoc analysis to prepare and present financial information to various stakeholders

The successful candidate must have:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher (or equivalent)

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Experience working in a finance function at sufficiently senior level

  • Experience in television distribution/licensing (preferred)

  • Strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail

  • A self-starter who can work to tight deadlines and is quick to learn

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, with excellent Excel skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels within the Company
