Finance Assistant - TV Production - Central London

A creative TV production company are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team permanently in the London offices. This Finance Assistant role is responsible for supporting the running of the day to day finance operations working closely with the CFO and Finance Managers.

This role also includes 25% PA/Administrative duties working closely with the CFO. You will also be able to split your time between the core finance function and production finance team which offers the chance to really widen your financial skill set/understanding.

This role is working Hybrid with the expectation of 3/4 days in the offices. The role does offer study support for someone looking to professionally progress.

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing all accounts payable invoices, payroll and staff expenses and ensuring correct coding within Xero

  • Processing of standard month end journals - fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, payroll

  • Implementation of accounts payable and expense claim controls

  • Ad hoc treasury planning and consolidation tasks

  • Assist with corporate audits

  • Management of corporate credit card account, and processing of monthly credit card returns for corporate credit card users

  • Process all payments through online payment platform and, where required, via cheque

  • Input of all bank transactions through Xero and completion of bank reconciliations

  • Managing the internal filing system for our finance department, both in paper and online

  • 25% PA/Administrative duties working closely with the CFO

Key skills:

  • Passion for a career within Finance

  • Working towards either an ATT/ACCA/CIMA qualification would be beneficial

  • Previous experience working within a Finance setting

  • Experience working in an office environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including word, excel and outlook

  • Excellent verbal and written communications
