A highly reputable and established Entertainment leader are currently looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the team on a 12 month contract starting as soon as possible. The role is very hands on looking after all of the day to day finances including processing month end and the preparation of their respective P&L's & Balance sheets.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is either already fully qualified or at least part way through either an ACCA or CIMA qualification. Having a background in Media or Entertainment would be extremely advantageous.
This role is responsible for 2 very talented direct reports so someone with prior experience managing a small team would be great as we are looking for a leader with a nurturing character to help with continuing the development and productivity of the two Accounts Assistants.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the UK entities (x2 companies), including the management of the UK Finance Team, AP Clerk and Accounts Assistant.
- Preparation of month end closing tasks, i.e Bank reconciliations, Bank & petty cash FX reconciliations/ journals, Fixed Assets, Accruals & Prepayments, Inter-company recharges
- Manage and process Time sheet reporting
- Controlling the TB/ Balance Sheets of both UK entities before compiling the monthly Management Accounts, including Job Profitability * Reporting back to the MDs/ CFO of both companies re the monthly management account results
- Compile monthly employee / IR35 payroll information and paperwork to send to external payroll provider, cross checking and approving payroll reports, managing pension contributions
- Sending out weekly/ monthly budgets
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns for both UK entities
- Preparation of annual PSA for both UK entities
- Preparation of annual audit reports
- Assisting the CFO with ad hoc tasks when needed
