Award-winning production company specialising in both high-end scripted drama and premium documentary are looking for a qualified Finance Manager to join their Soho based team.

About the role:

  • Responsibility for the monthly Management Accounts process including analysis of the PL & BS, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and recognition on delivery of producti

  • Reporting and presenting the monthly figures to (parent company) and also to the Senior Management team and discussing any variance from forecast and overall business performance.

  • Working closely with the COO to update the forecast pack on a regular basis which includes cashflow management, PL analysis and discussion of changes to forecasts.

  • Managing the Finance Assistant team, overseeing their work including payment runs, bank reconciliations, payroll approval, AP & AR posti

  • Posting the monthly payroll journal in PMI.

  • Working with finance team to lead the annual external company audit and being the main contact throughout the process. Preparing and reviewing schedules and gathering the required samples with the help of the Finance Assistant. Similarly, leading the internal audit process with updates required every quarter.

  • Ad hoc reporting requirements throughout the year including budget reporting and quarterly updates on budget vs forecasted figures.

  • Working closely with the Production Executives/Managers to ensure production cost reports are kept up to date and productions remain on budget.

  • Oversight and management of individual Production Accounting teams on larger scripted projects.

  • Responsibility for UK tax credit submissions on completion of productions ensuring all costs have been captured and the cost reports are accurate.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).

  • Proven background in month-end management accounti

  • Experience in External/Internal audit either in practice or in-house.

  • Strong Technical Accounting Skills - US / UK GAAP experience ideally.

  • Strong analysis skills and atenttion to detail.

  • Relevant experience in TV Production/Entertainment & Media preferred

  • Excellent IT Skills, particularly Excel, with a knowledge of PMI advantageous.
