Finance Manager - Music/Entertainment

One of the world's leading live entertainment and content companies are looking for a qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA Finance Manager to join the growing finance function and support the CFO and CEO.

Experience & Duties:

  • The Finance Manager will be responsible for day to day running of the finance function
  • Manage the junior members of the team, including working on their continuous development
  • Month-end reporting including preparation of monthly management accounts, checking against budgets
  • Quarterly reporting with variance analysis and commentaries
  • Feed individual events in to company accounting
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Reconciling inter-company loan accounts
  • Preparation of VAT returns and dealing with HMRC
  • Manage the PO process and approve payments
  • Support CFO with forecasting and cash flow management
  • Supporting the directors with any ad hoc analysis and reports
  • Ability to continually update forecasts and give feedback and commentary to CEO
  • Continuous process improvement.
  • Liaise with external accountants on reporting, and assist with statutory requirements

Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree educated and a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, CIPFA or ACCA)
  • Excellent IT skills including advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience of using Xero
  • Project management/accounting skills
  • Experience in budgeting and cash flow forecasting
  • Experience in a music, media or creative industry organisation
  • Previous experience in a similar role and in managing a team
  • Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills, ability to work well in a team
  • Experience dealing with international subsidiaries and foreign currency payments.
