We're working with a high-profile TV production company to recruit an experienced Finance Manager for a 3 month temporary cover role. This is a hands-on position overseeing day-to-day finance operations, month-end close, payroll, and production finance support across a busy and fast-paced studio environment:

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the monthly management pack and group reporting submissions

  • Manage monthly payroll processing for the HQ team (30+ staff)

  • Lead the month-end close in Sage 50, including bank postings, journals, and accounting entries

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting

  • Raise customer invoices for development and production projects, and oversee debtor collections

  • Review and approve employee expenses and company credit card submissions

  • Oversee supplier invoice processing and coordinate weekly/ad hoc payment runs

  • Submit VAT returns and maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations

  • Set up finance processes and banking for new productions (including credit/prepaid cards)

  • Support preparation of period-end schedules for external accountants and tax advisers

Requirements:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified (or part-qualified) / 5+ years industry experience

  • Previous experience in media, TV or entertainment is desirable

  • Experience managing payroll

  • Confident communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders and production teams

  • Strong Excel skills with working knowledge of Sage 50 and payroll software

  • Available for an immediate start
