Financial Reporting Manager - Entertainment - Central London

Looking for a qualified accountant for a permanent Financial Reporting Manager role within the Entertainment industry. This role is responsible for end to end management of the Statutory and Tax reporting cycles including preparation, review and submission of legal filings including accounts, tax packs and VAT returns.

We are open to candidates both straight from practice as well as those who already have experience working within a creative industry.

The salary on offer is between £55-65K and offers a 10% bonus on top as well as company benefits and hybrid working. They are currently working 4 days in the office and 1 from home.

Key responsibilities:

  • End to end management of the Statutory and Tax reporting cycles including preparation, review and submission of legal filings including accounts, tax packs and VAT returns
  • Manage and prepare reporting information for External Debt providers including Quarterly reporting of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flows in statutory format and debt covenant reporting
  • Key contact for the external auditors
  • Own SAO process
  • Primary UK contact for Financial Reporting for the US parent entities
  • Oversee Group cash planning (Head Office and operating companies) and resulting funding requests with the aim of managing cash efficiently.
  • Day to day relationship with the Group's banking and financing contacts
  • Manage upkeep of schedules in key accounting areas, such as leases, tax,deferred tax and interest
  • To continually improve corporate and internal reporting including ownership of all financial reporting processes and software
  • Manage documentation of key processes, policies and procedures
  • Review and approve journal entries across group companies

Key skills:

  • Fully qualified accountant
  • Experience working within practice is highly desirable
  • Strong financial reporting experience, particularly in UK GAAP and ideally US GAAP
  • Expert-level Excel knowledge; ability to create and maintain advanced, efficient Excel spreadsheets
  • Positive, "can do" attitude with the desire to take ownership of assigned tasks and projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team player with a collaborative work approach
