An exciting and forward thinking event agency are looking for an energetic and commercially driven Head of Business Development to lead their new business strategy. Reporting into the Managing Director, you'll be accountable for driving sales performance and creating strategies that maximise new business conversion. Above all, this role requires a leader with a strong sales mindset who can combine strategic vision with hands-on execution; committed to creating the ultimate experience for every client.

As a priority you will:

  • Drive new business growth by proactively identifying and converting opportunities

  • Develop and deliver a strategic sales plan that secures ambitious revenue and client acquisition targets

  • Research, prospect, and engage with high-value brands that align with the agency's expertise and target clients

  • Lead the briefing and presentation process and collaborate with internal teams to deliver compelling proposals

  • Work closely with senior management and collaborate across all departments to deliver a seamless, high-impact client journey-from first contact through to onboarding and beyond.

  • Develop strategic partnerships with venues and suppliers

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through industry networking, conferences, and venue showcases

To be successful, you will need:

  • A passion for making connections and a strategic mindset

  • A deep understanding of the events industry

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with a strong history of generating new business and driving revenue growth.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, negotiate and confidently network

  • UK Driving License
