Handle have partnered with an expanding global broadcast media network who are looking to bring in their first People Director into the European arm of the business. This is a vital role for the London base of around 100 employees, designing and executing a new HR strategy in line with exciting business plans as they evolve and grow.

Reporting into the MD and managing an existing high capable team of 3, you will bring a new and fresh perspective to the People strategy, and a wealth of generalist experience from media, ideally from Broadcast environments. You'll understand the key challenges faced working in media and be able to build credibility quickly with long standing industry leaders. With the team managing day to day HR operations, you will concentrate on getting under the skin of the business, building out and delivering an impactful HR strategy.

With the key basics in place already, this role is all about evolving and maturing their HR strategy, enhancing their offering and ensuring they are fully equipped to continue their growth as a business. As well as their longer term strategic work, they will have some immediate quick win requirements to tackle, including the post-covid workplace strategy and their Training & Development offering.

Ideal background would look like:

  • Extensive senior generalist experience gained in Media, in particular Broadcast
  • Have experience of/ be adaptable too working in more entrepreneurial, pressurised sme environments
  • You'll have worked within global business cultures with diverse management styles
  • Have managed and developed HR teams before
  • You'll have excellent communication skills, and a warm, down-to-earth style
