Handle Recruitment have exclusively partnered with a global Lifestyle Brand, who are currently looking for an interim IT Support Officer (on-site).

The Interim IT Onsite Support Officers role is to ensure smooth IT operations for the UK and Ireland business area, including Retail and Corporate users.

Working closely with the Central Group IT teams, manage local relationships, costs, assets, and user experience to ensure that the IT Service provided to the business is of the highest standard possible, and that the business have the rights tools to ensure smooth trading.

Major Responsibilities

  • Recommends short term IT strategy by evaluating desired outcomes; identifying problems; anticipating requirements.
  • Maintains a good service level for the users and business by establishing and enforcing organization standards and communicates the main standard KPIs on a regular basis.
  • Guarantees the IT alignment between local business and global IT Strategy (think Global and act local).
  • Includes and follows a standard security level in local systems and develop security awareness.
  • Ensures the use of standard incidents and requests management process, including the Europe Help desk team as level 1, and adapted strategies for stores on-site operations.
  • Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements of cost and investments.
  • Work with Group IT teams to align on requirements to deliver a successful outcome.
  • Manages relations with local vendors using negotiation strategies with a close link to the Indirect Procurement team, whilst ensuring vendors abide to our technical and ethical standards.
  • Supports and monitors the global projects roadmap agreed with the global IT organization and at local level with the IT & Project Delivery Manager.
  • Maintains relevant and impactful communication to the relevant users and teams.
  • Preserves assets by ensuring adequate disaster recovery and back-up procedures are in place at all times.

Required Knowledge & Competencies:

  • Min 3-5 years in IT.
  • Must have experience in the Retail Industry, supporting Retail systems (hardware and software), ideally in a multisite environment.
  • IT experience in a strong Microsoft environment (Windows 11, Office 365, Sharepoint, Teams).
  • Leadership, high sense of service and strong Business orientation.
  • Resource management.
  • Short term Budget management and costs monitoring.
  • Strong and proactive capabilities in communication and positive relationships.

The position is based in their London Head Office in central London and will involve field work to other UK sites, which will be divided amongst the team.
