JUNIOR DATA ANALYST
An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Data Analyst to join the UK's leading online retailer.
Your key responsibilities will be to manipulate and analyse data to provide critical management information to enable decision making on the key questions facing the Marketing team.
Example projects Segmenting the company customer base to better understand how they shop and then using this to recommend changes to marketing campaigns, rang, pricing and promotions.
Predicting lifetime value of customers.
Building an acquisition attribution model to calculate return on marketing investments, and rebuilding acquisition reporting to incorporate the new model.
Roles & Responsibilities
Interrogate internal databases to provide insight and recommendations to the marketing team and senior leadership within a commercial context. You will also visualise and analyse.
Developing and maintaining key business reports to enable stakeholders to self-serve regular queries and increase the level of data-based decision making within the company.
Applying statistical techniques such as regression modelling to quantify the impact of variables affecting past campaign performance (and build prediction models for future performance accordingly), as well as applying statistical tests to validate the robustness of recommendations.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Numerate and analytical thinking with experience in retail or consumer-facing FMCG
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Curiosity about customer motivations and human behaviour
- Strong communication, teamwork and influencing skills
- Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of SQL and Tableau would be advantageous
- Numerate or Technical Degree (2:1 and above), with Mathematics A Level (or equivalent) Grade B or above
